ILR time for skilled worker visa

Hello everyone,

I have a specific case that I could not find during my search on this forum. I was on Tier 4 student visa and I have recently switched to a skilled worker visa (5-years) inside UK. I applied for the SWV on 17-May-2022 (standard application), the COS start date was 13-June-2022. I received the SWV decision on 16-August-2022 and it says that my permit will expire on 26-June-2027. My concern is that the duration of my visa is less than 5 years (16-August-2022 to 26-June-2027).

1- Will this affect my ILR application after 5 years?
2- Is that an error from the UKVI?

Here is what the immigration rules say:
Period and conditions of grant for a Skilled Worker
SW 18.1. The applicant will be granted entry clearance or permission to stay until 14 days after the end date of their certificate of sponsorship (which may be up to a maximum of 5 years after the start date of their certificate of sponsorship).
The visa expiry is correct according to your COS. No one is issued a work visa with a view to settlement.

The rules for settlement are separate. It is possible to apply early or apply for an extension if you do not meet the 5 years qualifying period for ILR when the time comes. The rules are subject to change, so no one knows what they would look like in 5 years. I suggest you worry about this when you are close to completing your 5 years.
