I'm planning to do PEO appointment for my ILR SET (O) (WP 2yrs + Tier 1 3 yrs) in Nov 2011. I've got 5 yrs p60 and last 12 months pay slips. Do i still need employer letter from my current employer? From what i understand, employer letter is necessary only for ILR from workpermits?

Thanks!

Yes you still need it. Self made rules. I could not find it in writing in any document

Its advantage to have one.

Shows more authentication. Key points in the document are Joining dates, Gross Amount and your designation in the organization.

For Tier 1 holders, it is not mandatory to have employer letter, however as mentioned, it is advantageous to obtain one, as an additional evidance of your work with the company.

I have a similar query. In addition to a letter from just the current employer do we need a letter confirming previous employments or would a P-60 suffice?
In my case i noticed that my first P-60 does not have my NI number mentioned on it, will this cause any issues? Appreciate any information on that can be offered on this.

Just to cleaify, if we have payslips, P60 and bank statements, does it still be advantegous to have the letter?

I got my workpermit on 04/12/2006 and i have all relevant docs necesary for the PEO appointment. From the timeanddate calculator website i found this:

From date:Sunday, 4 December 2011
Subtracted 28 days

Resulting date: Sunday, 6 November 2011

Can i book my appointment on 7th nov? Or it needs to be 28 days excluding the day of my appointment?

Many thanks!

The date when you received your WP has no relevance here. What is relevant is the date of your entry in to UK as a WP holder (if you applied for entry clearance from outside UK) or the date on which leave to remain was issued (if you applied in-country).

In such case, the date is fine.

For general benefit:

You did not get your WP stamped on 04-Dec-06, but a leave to remain (on basis of your WP) was stamped in your passport on 04-Dec-06.

That's where a statement to the effect "got my WP" has a different meaning from "got leave to remain" or "entered UK". Why? Because "WP" is nothing but an authorisation letter allowing one to make an immigration application .. it is never stamped in a passport and has no relevance in calculating "qualifying residential period".
