Bit of Backgrounf first:)

I had applied for HSMP in november 2007, visa stamped for duration of 2 years(1 Jan 2008-1 Jan 2010). Entered UK on 2nd feb 2008.

Applied for extension in Nov 2009 and got 3 year extension till 1 Jan 2013.

Q1 - Since i enter UK after 32 days of stamping, do i need another extension or i can go for PR?
Q2: - Recently i have opened up a company while working as a employee, if this company makes good profits in 2012 will this impact my visa application status (Visa catagory etc)
Q3: - when can i apply for PR - end of 2012?

Another questions not relevant to my case but my friends. If the main applicant takes a maternity leave and travels to India for 3 or more months, will it affect the PR status.

Yes, if absence is more than 3 months.

Neither you nor your friend can apply for PR (issued under EU directives). Both of you will need to apply for ILR (under UK immigration laws).
