Successful ILR - Tier 2 (Work Permit) + 1 Dependant (Wife)

Hello all,

I want to extend my thanks to everyone who answered my various posts and questions with regards to my application.

I applied under the Work Permit scheme (Tier 2) at the Croydon PEO!

Documents I took with me (Originals and Photo Copies):
Completed Application Form
Letter from employer including information on the letter about my SOC Code and salary
Letter from employer stating my days out of the country on Business (64)
Letter from company that initially sponsored my Work Permit
List of Personal and Business Travel on Spread Sheet
12 Months Bank Statements
12 Months Pay Slips
2 Years Council Bills
2 Years Water / Electricity Bills
Current tenancy agreement + older ones (dating 4 years back)
Marriage Certificate (As wife and I are South African)
P60 / P45 for the past 6 years
4x Passports (2 expired with Work Permits in them + 2 new ones)

What they took from me (Photo Copies)
3 Months Bank Statements
3 Months Salary Slips
Letters from Employer
Spreadsheet with Travel Dates
P60 / P45's
Passports

Interestingly, they were not interested in any of the other paperwork, didn't look at our council bills, wifes documents or anything else, but always better to come prepared with everything you might need!

----------------->
Booking was at 8:15
Arrived at 7:45 and entered the building
Went through security and to checking desk and was issued with a Number
Went and paid for the ILR (£2050) with HSBC Debit Card
Went up to the next floor and was allocated a case worker and took him about 20 minutes to go through our paper and informed me that we are Approved
Went and waited for another 2 hours while they processed application and put the stamp into the passport.
Went home!

Thanks again to all that helped!!

Hi,
Congrats for ILR.
Can you please advice me regarding the passport?
I have to apply for ILR soon, and i renewed my passport last year. Which passport details i should mention in the form:-

old one (where WP is stamped)
or
new one

Many thanks in advance.

do you really need 12 months payslips and 12 months bank statements if you are applying as a tier 2?

You should mentioned new passport (old passport is not valid any more but you can keep visas on old passport) and take both passports to home office

Thanks

Hi guys

If you have lost or did not receive your P60, does this matter? I did not receive my P60(Lost in post) but was able to obtain a copy from my employer. Would that be sufficient?

Thank you!

It should be.

You can also contact HM Revenue and request you employment history for the missing P60 year. This document is acceptable by UKBA and HMRC dont charge you for the letter.
