we are a married couple, I am italian and my husband moroccan.
My husband entered in the uk with a EEA Family Permit expired now in July.
We applied in April 2012 for a Residence permit. We got the application certificate in May together with my Registration Card, but we are still waiting for his Residence Permit and in October we have to go back in Morocco. Anyone applied in April 2012 and still waiting?

Can we ask for his passport back and then come back in the uk with a EEA Family permit visa after a few months? Will be the application canceled?

as long as you keep your address in the uk (at least i THINK you have to still be a resident, maybe others can comment on that) he can leave and come back showing the COA with passport, and you only with passport but good to also show your blue registration certificate. (it even says so on the registration certificate).

ask his passport back immediately (he should do it in person by phone), it could take a while before you get it back eventhough they aim to send it back within 5 working days after request

Thank you. Do we dont need to reapply for an EEA family permit:-)? Can we can back just with the coa letter? We are now working in a hotel and we have given this address in the application. If we leave the job in October will they be able to send the residence card without his passport?and a colleague from here can post it to us in Italy or Morocco. Yes I think next week I send an email to ask his passport back. Thank you
