Hi,

Im wondering in anyone is absence from uk for more than 6 month and return to uk using residence card? (I got rc through singh route)

I'm not concerned about getting pr but since I still have rc valid until 2017, can I still use it to enter uk?

Or family visit visa is a better way?

Thanks

What is your nationality? If you are the Non-EEA family Member of an EEA national, and the EEA national is still in, or is accompanying you to the United Kingdom, I would say the RC will allow you to enter successfully, if questioned however about the absence, the IO may cancel the residence card due to the absence, but as I understand it there would be an in country right of appeal in respect of the cancellation of the RC

Hi, thanks for an advice. I'm a Non-EEA and my husband is British, so is my son.

I'll look into the cancellation of the RC rules.
