EEA2 RC length

If a non-EEA national successfully applies for an EEA2 RC to accompany an EU national partner who is studying in the UK, will they receive a 5-year RC or one only for the period of the sponsor's study? Thanks!

A RC is not a visa and is not issued to accompany anyone.
A RC is for 5 years period.
Or maybe you are confused and thinking of a FP. Which is for 6 months.
