Morning All.
I appreciate your help in advance.

My son is 12 years old and hold Italian Citizenship. He was born abroad on July 2004 ( Brazil )
He first came to UK in Feb 2007

The father holds PR ( Acquired in October 2016 )
Applying today for my wife's PR. She first came in Feb 2007 along with our son

My question is :

Do I need to wait for my wife's PR so I can apply for my Child British Citizenship ?

I really appreciate your help.
Thank you

As the child was born abroad, the registration as a British citizen will be done at discretion under section 3(1).

HO would usually expect BOTH parents to be settled (with PR or ILR) and at least one to be applying for British citizenship at the same time.

Child needs to be free from immigration time restrictions too; ie to have acquired PR status;
he may have done so as early as 2012 (sponsored by a qualified person/parent) if present in UK since 2007.
