Your status and rights to live in the UK are derived from a relationship to an EEA national exercising treaty rights. You don't have any rights on your own merits to sponsor other dependants.

If your partner has just finished school, I would suggest applying for a Tier-1 Post-Study-Work (PSW) visa.

@ jambo, really appreciate that. now assuming am single and like to get married to anyone, i will have to wait 5 years to do that. I now have a job and can depend on myself.Or is it a situation where i can only marry someone with a better status in the uk like full blown uk citizen

it is not about whether you can marry, but whether your spouse qualifies as your dependent under the EEA regs.

sorry mate, but i think that marriage is getting married with the one you love, not with a UK or any other EU passport,

You can always marry whoever you wish. If you are not a dependant any more, maybe you could switch to other immigration category such as tier-2 visa on your own merit. This will allow you to bring dependants. Also moving to your home country or your future wife home country is also an option.
