Received the passport yesterday. It took exactly 6years and 4 days to arrive at this place. Quite a tortuous journey but worth it..I hope! Learnt a lot from this forum free of charge (No money to the lawyers!)

Hi guys, I've heard that at the passport interview they say your passport will be with you within 10 or 14 working days but in fact they are getting it just the day after interview or max 3 days.
Question are

1- I have interview on Friday 16:15 so when should I expect my passport?
2- Do I have to be at home/signature required or they just droop it through the post.

you are very lucky , you got your interview letter in 2nd week ??? woow that was quick.

Its been 4 weeks I have applied . I have patience as I'm not rushing so i'm just waiting hope will get the letter soon.

Date of Passports received:22/08/2014 should have been delivered on 19th but they delivered my passport at the wrong address so had to wait extra few days.

Application was processed in Durham office
All in all 6 years 8 months to get the British passport.
End of the journey

I would like to express a huge thanks to all those who answer here and participate here . Jambo you have been an absolute jewel.
My journey ends here with this forum. Might check some time in future to look back this experience.

Yes. Make sure you have all the required docs ready and passport form ready with the counter signature.

Note: I would advise you to scan a copy of Naturalization certificate (just in case) as you have to send the original ...

I know it's taking a bit longer these days even for child's application ... One of my friend hasn't heard anything for his kid's application and it's been more than 4 weeks.

You just need to send non expired (latest valid one) and just passport i.e. no BRP

it was better if you had asked it in new thread as this is just processing timelines

I'm waiting for an adult UK passport renewal from Germany (4th week out of 6-8), processed at Liverpool. Unfortunately Fast Track and Premium aren't available outside of the UK.
