Form Set(O) - Several queries

Post by london000 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 6:48 pm

Hi folks, I am filling out the Set(O) form to apply for ILR and have a few questions about the application. Would appreciate your replies very much :)

I came to UK on student visa, finished my programme and have been on Tier 1 (General) since then.

p5 - Payment Detals - I have already paid online when I booked the premium appointment. So imagine I can leave this page blank?

p7 - Home Office Reference number - Where can I find this?

p7 - BRP reference number - Imagine this is the number top right on front of the BRP card?

p19 - "How long have you lived in the UK?" - Should this include the first time I came to the UK using student visa as well or should it start from my 5 year qualifying period?

p19 - "Please provide details of any periods of absence of more than 6 months during that time." - In between my studies, I took a gap year and worked aborad in this time (this was before a Tier 1 was granted to me). Imagine just need to mention this without any details?

p20 - "You should tell us about any family, friends, or other connections with that country" - I have my father living in my country of origin. Do I just need to mention he lives there or any other details required as well?

p23 - "Is there any other information concerning you or your family which you wish to be considered as part of your application?" - I can't think of anything to put here, just wondering what you guys had put here (if anything)?

p45 - "Have you had your fingerprints taken as part of a previous United Kingdom immigration application made in the United Kingdom or abroad?" - Well I had my fingerprints taken when I renewed my Tier 1 as part of BRP process. Does that count here? If yes, I don't remember the date unfortunately. Any idea how this should be tackled?

p51 - "For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules." - What documents are required here? My old passport has the student visa, is that all is needed here?

Big big thanks for your help :)

Yes
Leave blank
Yes
Refer to my post - HERE
exclude that period from your total stay, provide a cover letter with table listing all periods
Yes. Write your country and next column mention family ties
Yes
I cant see the question P51. It is on p52 but is for Entrepreneur and does not apply to T1 (G)

I am going through same, however i will be able to help with some of them only.

P7 you can get it from last decision letter you received form ukba as part of LTR or FLTR
P7 you are right about BRP number
P19, if you have not broken the continuity then your first date of entry to UK.
P20, name of country and your family lives there should be enough
P23, is more like a cover letter, you can explain things if there is any about your application
P45, i am still holding post office receipt which helped me out with date, if you had same way try searching through ur bank card statements to find date
