Yes it can be a possibility.hopingforILR wrote:Congrats to the Feb applicants who are getting their ILR approvals through! It seems to me the timeline for waiting is now 14-15 weeks, rather then 12-13 weeks as it was before.
Just have a quick question- I moved address after I sent in my ILR application, and have changed it online (on the GOV website). However, I sent a self-addressed envelope (which has my old address) along with the application so they can post my documents back to me. I'm worried they will just plonk my documents into that envelope and it will go to my old address. Does anyone else have the same experience, and do you know any way to deal with it?
Hi shah jishahjee1234 wrote:Hi Zaiby, zaiby wrote:HI EVERYONE , I ASKED THIS QUESTION COUPLE OF TIMES BUT I STILL DID NOT GET RIGHT ANSWER , QUESTION IS I HAVE APPLIED MY SET(LR) 29/04/2014 , MY WIFE IS TIER 1 GENERAL DEPENDENT VISA VALID TILL 20-03-2015 AND MY VISA ALSO VALID TILL 20-03-2015
MY WIFE GOT TIER 1 GENERAL DEPENDENT IN OCTOBER 2011 AND LANDED IN UK 20-01-2012
I KNOW SHE HAVE TO APPLY FLR(M) , BUT SHE ALREADY SPEND TWO YEARS FROM THE OLD RULES , SO AFTER GETTING FLR(M) CAN SHE APPLY STRAIGHT AWAY FOR SET(M) OR SHE NEEDS TO WAIT 5 YEARS ?
PLEASE HELP US TO SOLVE THIS AS I AM THINKING TO WITHDRAW THE SET(LR) APPLICATION IF MY WIFE HAVE TO WAIT 5 YEARS ?
I am afraid that the answer is NO, as after the 06th April 2014, any dependants applying for an FLR(M) have to spend qualifying time of 5 years for their ILR.
If I am you, I would withdraw my LR application and apply with my dependants in March 2015, I know it is completely unfair for the Home Office to make such a drastic change knowing that it will effect honest people like you go through the agony and pain of waiting for another 5 years to get their life's on track.
I hope other senior members will comment to explain as well.
I hope it helps mate.

Shahjee I disagree with you, they have been alot of discussions on this topic in this forum if you dig properly into the previous posts you will see that few forum members have applied for their dependents straight on SET M after approval of their dependents FLR M. Their dependents was in the UK before the new rule was introduced and have spent quite some years (more than 2yrs) before the April 6th 2014 rule. They all got their ILR approved.shahjee1234 wrote:Hi Zaiby, zaiby wrote:HI EVERYONE , I ASKED THIS QUESTION COUPLE OF TIMES BUT I STILL DID NOT GET RIGHT ANSWER , QUESTION IS I HAVE APPLIED MY SET(LR) 29/04/2014 , MY WIFE IS TIER 1 GENERAL DEPENDENT VISA VALID TILL 20-03-2015 AND MY VISA ALSO VALID TILL 20-03-2015
