PCN and Naturalisation

Post by darkblinky » Fri Jul 04, 2014 11:29 am

Hello Guys,

Please I need some help here. I am due for my BC application and I have received two PCN's for using bus lanes during the first 4 months of my last 12 months. I would like to know if I should mention this on my application form and how would this affect the success of my application??

Thanks a lot!
Jack

Thanks Amber for your quick response. Is this no I shouldn't mention or no it wont affect me?

I got this out of the good character requirement

3.2 Fixed Penalty Notices, Penalty Charge Notices & Penalty Notices
for Disorder
Fixed Penalty Notices, Penalty Charge Notices and Penalty Notices for Disorder are imposed
by the Police or other authorised enforcement officers for traffic rule violations, environmental
and civil violations. It is a way of the criminal justice system disposing of fairly minor offences
without the need for a person to attend court. Receiving one does not form part of a person‟s
criminal record as there is no admission of guilt.
The decision maker will not consider these unless the person has:
a. failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result; or
b. received numerous fixed penalty notices which would suggest a pattern of behaviour that
calls into question their character.

If this is something they take into consideration, will I not be refused for not mentioning it?

Many thanks.

I'd be reluctant to mention it.

What was the outcome of your application? I see lot of people have same issue but no one ever came back with the outcome. I received 3 PCN in last 12 months and i am not sure if it comes under FPN and needs mentioning in AN form.

PCNs are not counted, no need to declare them. of course as long as you have paid the fine on time.
i had 2 in last 12 months and there was no issue with naturalization.
