Hi All,
I will be applying for my ILR in September based on long term residence. I have a long absence of around 246 days in a single year which makes my case a bit tricky.
I have spoken with few solicitors; most of them say that there is a 50/50 chance of me getting my ILR. I know bhamblues has just got his even when having a long absence. This gives me a bit of hope.
Do you know anyone else who has recently been granted ILR with them having a long absence when applying under 10 rule?

Hi Sergeant123,
That is exactly what my solicitor said 50/50 chance. But don't lose hope and give it a go! Can I ask what was the reason for ur long absence? Also when u were away from UK did u have a valid visa all along covering the absence?

Hello happy1982,
1) there is no maintenance requirement for SET LR application.
2) waiting time is estimated to be between 3-4months from the date of application. It may be more if your application is complicated.

My ILR got rejected today the problem out of time application as HO was unable to deduct money from my card in previous application. Hence 2 Months Gap introduced .... result refusal.
Moral of story always send Postal Order along your application.
Best of luck to all who are waiting, and I shall keep you all posted as things unfold for me later on.
@sam
Sorry to hear this news but don't worry appeal against this decision ... In the end you will definetly get it ...
I have read your story on page 796 0r 795 ?
May I know did they give you right to appeal ?
Thanks
Shah
Hi Shah,
Thanks for your time, I haven't received an appeal as I already have a visa till October 2014.
Different people have different opinions lets see how it goes.
Will keep you guys posted...

in this catagory there is no requirement for maintenance funds as per my understandings but the best thing if you are employed then send atleast three months of payslips, bank statements alongwith your life in the uk test pass certificate and B1 certificate if you do not hold degree. the waiting time is six months.

You will know that SET (LR) is based on immigration rules 276A-276DH and the recent changes affect some instances within those rules. I don't think I'm competent enough to translate them but of the top of my head things like dispensation for rule 399 has been taken out amongst other minor changes. Like I said nothing that should affect the majority of us.

Hello
U are right my friend, my application is nearly 5 months there and I called HO yesterday they said they are still processing. Though we've been here for so long, i guess this waiting time to get a response is just killing.

hi senior members!
please shed light on this issue. To me its sounds like if the requirement is IELTS 4 and you scored IELTS 8.5 then you are not qualified since you did not score 4 in IELTS. b1 test is certainly superior that A1 test. Then why the HO will not accept it?

Can you please provide more details of the English test you submitted?
I'm in the same situation - we sent trinity college B1 for FLR(m) too. It means we will be rejected as well.

Was certificate issued by training connect or another awarding body. I don't see training connect in appendix O?
What is written on the certificate e.g. Trinity college, Cambridge, etcetera ?
