Application Hold Today due to EMDQ B.1 English Certificate

Help & Advice Require Please

Hello Every One,
Today me & my wife went to the Home Office Croydon for same day service as my wife Applied for FLRM, after all the steps one by one we were called by the case worker and was inform that although my wife application is valid and the case worker is satisfied with all the supporting documents provided apart from the English language certificate B.1 Entry Level 3 from " EMDQ" we were also informed by the case worker that they are holding every application who provides qualification from EMDQ as it is under investigation. We enquirers from the case worker if B.1 is not appropriate or acceptable with FLRM as we have heard , the case worker advice us that as it is B.1 which is higher then A.1 that is why it's not an issue.

But the letter given to us by the case worker specially does not mention any about B.1 Or EMDQ which worries me can any one plz tel me what does exactly the case worker is up to ,let me write exactly what the letter states.

Plz check the attach letter and advice me plz.

It sounds like the Home Office is trying to determine whether there's been irregularities in EMDQ's english certification process.

If there has been - they'd revoke their certificate and probably refuse your application.

If there hasn't - they'll just accept your application and send the visa on through.

The problem is - you don't know how long the investigation will take place. I'd suggest you might be best off attempting to get a new english qualification from one of the other bodies quick - just in case it's not a favourable outcome for EMDQ.

The letter you've been given is just the standard template for 'holding' an application.

Thank you very much for your reply, as u mention my wife can do it from another English language service provider, we call Trinity college to enquire about booking B.1 Test we we're advice to provide Passport & biometric card & we explain it to the test centre in charge about our case and he said that if we provide him with copies of both passport,biometric card & Home office letter ,we will enquire it from trinity college that if my wife can take test he will call us tomorrow, hopefully things will go in right direction Insha Allah.

If my wife is allowed to take test which she will Insha Allah pass easily can we send that to home office to a cover letter to explain will the home office accept that can u plz advice, because in the letter it is mention not to contact home office untill they want some thing them self.

Plz advice is it possible ??

You should be able to submit the additional evidence to the home office yes.

Hello Naveed , I agree with what MPH80 has said the best option u have at this point of time is exactly what MPH80, as I know an applicant with same satuation like yours as he also provided B.1from EMDQ but his case is also on hold till pending enquires , the only problem is the home office has not responded to wife yet although he sent this additional doc in 3 week of May

Yes Naveed my wife is in the same position as you. Despite making many phone calls to the home office, EMD in Leeds, the college where she took the exam B1. Its impossible to get any positive news, the home office just tells you to wait.

Hi I've applied for Settlement under the 10 years long residence rule, SET LR and have received an interview appointment in LIVERPOOL at the end of August and coincidentally I've also submitted an EMDQ English test certificate. I'm also wondering if the Home Office are having doubts about EMDQ. But I done the test myself and didn't use "proxy". So everyday I'm praying everything will go smoothly at the interview, but my Anxiety is starting to kick in again....

Great just Great. I've just found an article about the test centre where I took my ESOL test awarded by EMDQ has been suspended!!
