Hi guys just providing some updste. Called home office yesterday and the guy was very nice and said that no decision was made however I would get the decision by next week or so. Today I received all my documentation with the approval letter inside. I'm really happy. I am now waiting for the invitation letter as it says do not contact the local council.

Approval received 24th of September dated on 22nd of september

I have called th HO today and have been told that my application still under process and they will write to me if they need extra documents, finally call again after six months. What is under processing mean??? Does that mean my application is opened and they are checking it???

Currently, the council is giving ceremonies dates in 5 weeks time and I am concerned mine might be in the same timescale.
My question is, is it possible to have my ceremony at another council instead? Private one cost £200.

Received a letter from Home Office asking me to provide a letter from UK NARIC to support degree certificate even after I have submitted printout of points-based calculator along with application. I have replied back to caseworker through email that I have provided documents as per the requirements mentioned in AN Guide and Gov.UK. I have also posted the printout of points-based calculator again showing 35 points for qualification and 10 points for english level. However, previously along with the application I have submitted printout of points-based calculator showing only 10 points for english. Home Office did not mention number of points one should get in the points based calculator. PBS says as follows "degree taught in English equivalent to a Bachelor's
degree or above in the UK. How would you like to claim points for English language skills?
I have a UK Bachelor degree-equivalent qualification (or above) that was taught in English"


Degrees taught or researched in English
You’ll need to prove your degree was both:

· taught or researched in English
· confirmed by UK NARIC as the equivalent of a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree in the UK

You’ll need your original degree certificate and one of the following:

· a printout from the points-based calculator with the equivalent level of your degree and the level of English
· an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree, plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English
· an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)

I would like to know from the members if 10 points are sufficient or do I have to show points for qualification aswell? I have sent printout anyway.
