No need to apply for Indian passport, wait until your ILR and apply for registration using MN1 form. This will take at least 4 months . After receiving the registration certificate you can apply for passport (may be another few weeks).

I have a question to fill in form MN1.

My son was born in India this year.

I have now British Passport and recently naturalized after spending 5 years in UK i.e. after ILR.

My wife is on her own Tier 1 visa due to expire in December 2014.

My son is on Tier 1 dependent visa which obviously also expires in December 2014.

Can you pls. confirm under which section my son can apply for british citizenship if he can ?

I had called the Home Office on the 08th October asking about the status of my application, and was told it was still under process. I called again on the 10th as I wanted to confirm reception of a letter I had sent them, and the man told me, that he believed my application was positive and that I should receive something by Monday, I ended up receiving the approval letter on the same day...
Again I called on the 13th asking about how long it would take to receive the registration certificate, and was told that it takes up to six months to process an application, after I told the lady once more that I had already received the approval, she finally told me that the Certificate had been printed on the 9th and should be on its way to me.

It just seems that there is very little, if any, communication between the case workers and the people actually answering the phones to inform us about the situation of our application. Anyhow, we're glad we finally got a response, and can come back to the UK 5 months after the birth of our stateless child born abroad!

Thanks to This forum.
Now i want to apply for her passport,but she went with her mum to Pakistan 3 weeks before due to some reason,if i apply from paksitan for her passport it will take 6months,but i want her bring back as soon as possible,she travelled by paksitani passport,can i apply here in uk for her passport and send it through secure delivery to pakistan,or may be i will go myself if post is not possible?any suggestion will be really appreciated.
