Congratulations! Glad it worked out.

But having failed miserably to apply at the right time in the past, now plan to do things in advance of when they are really needed! What do I mean? Simply this. Your wife should start studying to the Life in the UK Citizenship test in the near future, the aim being that she should pass that test well before she really needs to pass certificate to apply for ILR in nearly 2 years time.

Good plan? Get the test out of the way!

Well, I came on too late to have been a nay-sayer, but I think you were quite fortunate. With Immigration, trust all of us, not playing strictly and exactly by the rules, even unwittingly, can have disatrous consequences, and honesty and the rest does not always pay.

Anyway, glad about the outcome.
The Refused are coming day-by-day nearer to freedom.
