Hello,
I had a same day appointment at the Croyden office on 28th Aug for ILR (SET M) application. I did not have sufficient utility bills* for proof of residence and was asked to come back with the documents for an appointment booked on Sep 10th. My SET M application was stamped and returned to me. The stamp has the word Valid and date (Aug 28th). My 2 year spouse visa expired on 29th Aug. Is my status in UK still legal? Is my application considered to have been submitted on Aug 28th?
*I had sufficient financial, insurance and other documents to meet the 20 documents criteria but no utility bills as I had lived with the in-laws for most of the past 2 years. I was asked to provide utility bills in my in-laws names along with a letter stating that I have lived with them for the past 2 years. I assume this should be sufficient and nothing else would be required to fulfill the request.
