British citizen by descent bringing Australian kids to uk

Hi we currently live in Australia. I have British citizenship by descent however have not lived in the uk for 20 years. I have 2 children for whom I have sole responsibility orders for. Both are Australian citizens. How do I get visas for them to live in the uk with me? Do they come on visitor visas when we all immigrate and then apply for ILR or can this be done before we leave Australia? Will I be able to claim child, housing and tax credits for them as websites say no access to public funds; or does this mean they are not allowed to apply in their names?. They are aged 15 and 7. Thank you as this is so confusing.

If you lived continuously in the UK, before the children were born, for at least 3 years, then they are entitled to register as British citizens under Section 3(2). Followed by British passports.

Else, they may apply for visas. Public funds may be subject to visas' endorsements and any undertakings.
