My approval letter came on 24th dec
Letter from ho with certificate details 2nd jan
Letter from hampshire county council 3rd jan
Date of ceremony 18th feb

I did call them on 28th dec but they said they have not received my details from ho.

Approval letter may take bit longer or may be lost. If you don't receive it, phone your council and explain. Usually they are ok with it as long you speak to them before hand.

Call the ho and tell them but as far as I know you only need the invitation letter not the approval one

It looks like very few people have received their approval letters in the last few weeks.
Reading some of the posts in other threads (months) seems like most people received theirs within a few weeks of submission.

Call the council. Most likely they would have received letter from the HO already and would be able to send a replacement letter if needed or the first one if they forgot.

I called the council as soon as I got my letter from the HO and was able to arrange my ceremony date (after very politely requesting) long before got letter from the Council.

I also applied the British Citizenship in November and called Home Office a few times to check the progress of my BC application in January. They just asked me the date of my application and application payment. But they didn't bother to ask my name and simply told me that my case was still on consideration and asked me to call back if I hadn't heard any news from them after 6 months. Has anyone experience the same?

I don't understand why some of you could get decent answer about their application's progress from Home Office.

I have applied in November too, called them twice in January. They told me _Still under consideration _ and I have plenty of time because my 6 month waiting period is not finished yet.
Some you need to have big luck to get approval within 3 weeks
