Dear Immigration Board,
My wife will have her interview with the British Embassy in Manila on the 10th of February.
My name is Daniel Simon. I am from Hungary and I live in London for over 4.5 years. My wife is from the Philippines. I have sent her every documents which is required for the EEA FP such as my employment reference, employment contract, tenancy agreement, proof of residence from the council, bank statement etc, we will include our love story, marriage certificate etc, I have brought even my mother to the marriage with me so marriage of convenience is out of question. My question is about my wife's bank certificate/bank statement. I have heard that she must have a bank balance over 50k peso. Is that true? I know there is no such a requirement like that. This is 100% but I am interested about real life experiences from the Philippines. I didn't send such a big money to her account since the £ is so bad at the moment anyway. When she went to the bank even the bank manager has asked her whether she wants to put in more money, since it is like a common practice to provide huge bank balance before your Embassy appointment. ~Anyone got their FP in the Philippines on small bank balance on the applicant side? My bank balance in the Uk is ok. I am financially stable.
Regards
Daniel
