RLMT & revocation....confusion

Post by Manchip » Tue Feb 17, 2015 11:34 am

Hi there... My Employers sponsor licence got revoked on 5th Jan 2015 but i haven't received any curtailment letter. I also received a new job offer but my Lawyer says that the new sponsor can hire me b4 60 days of my alleged curtailment. And they do not have to put in an advert for 28 days for RLMT. I can directly join them and get a CoS sorted from the new employer and send my application as well. As there is no mention of RLMT for revoked sponsor employees. I am confused as in what to do. I can't wait after 5th March 2015 as if i don't get a curtailment letter I will be an illegal. I have 1 1/2 years remaining for my Long term 10 year visa as well. I am not sure what to do . Should i pack my bags and leave or just apply without RLMT and wait. Or do I get 28 days more after the 60 days get over. Should I also call UKBA and ask for the curtailment letter? I would really appreciate your help.

You are ok to stay till u get the curtailment letter, which might take months..
you can apply even after u ave received the curtailment letter.
the rlmt needs to be done for the new job, unless the job is on shortage occupation.

my advise: ditch this person who says he is a lawyer.

No, as far as i understand u are ok to stay till your current leave expires or u receive curtailment letter.
Your 60 days grace period starts from date of issue of letter. this will also be evident in the letter when they give u 60 days to leave the country.
