Parent of a bristish citizen

Post by Lola24 » Wed Feb 18, 2015 8:49 am

Hello Guys,
I'm new to this forum and I'll be more than happy if any one can help me out please.
I'm about to send my application for FLO(fp) as a parent of uk child. My baby was born in December
And I have collected the baby bristish passport.please I just want to confirm if I need a letter
From my baby's father to support my application stating that he's the father of my daughter and s support
Us Finacially and also in contact with the baby.
Can you let me if it mandatory to attach is copy of his bristish passport with the letter or to just put
His date of brith and the bristish passport number in the letter.although we are no longer together but
Still maintain friendly relationship for the sake of our daughter.

In my opinion I would suggest that the father of your baby should write a supporting letter or a statement to include the following facts:

a: That he's the father of your child
b: That his relationship with you had ended but you continue to maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of your child
c: That he's supporting your child financially as a father
d: That if you were sent back to your country of origin that he would loose contact with his child, his child means the whole world to him, he would not bear the thought of loosing his child
e: He can not look after the child himself due to work and other commitments, etc. And that every child deserves the love, care and nurture of both parents.

You should include a copy of your ex-partner's passport and also your child's birth certificate. This is to show that he's actually the father of your child.

Let your ex-partner include in the statement whatever he thinks would sway the caseworker who would be dealing with the application.

hi , first make sure you use form flr(fp) to applie for your leave to remain. normaly you need your child's father passort and a letter written by him to be sent with the application. beside the application form itself tell you what support document must be sent with the application . good luck to you
