Sorry to say that guys but you make me feel better when I read that someone who applied 2 months before me is still waiting and having a laugh about it. I applied on 30/07/2014 and still waiting. Hopefully we all will get that demn brown envelopes soon. Keep the faith guys and DON'T quit!

Date approval received: 04/03/2015

I was continously following these blogs from last 5 months.. provides hope when someone post they received approval.

Yes you are absolutely right. I applied june last year and i anxiously wait every day but then come on here at the end of the day and feel i'm not alone! I feel only people who have been waiting as long as us can understand what its like.

Update, refusal good character that in 2008/2009 when l was on student visa I worked more than 20 hours a week and therefore l don't meet the good character requirement. Re-consideration forms are enclosed with it. Advise please is that a good character requirement or they are just being mean

Hi Sonnyboy8011, no I have never been to court for this but back in 2008 they questioned me for this when I applied for my student visa but they didn't have proof so they gave me the visa, the school is no more in existence so I can't contact them to give me sch dates for that year and the job I did at that time they don't have the rotas so only thing left is to contact solicitors another expense for me.

Could you tell me as to who questioned you and whn- was it? Was it when you tried you extend your visa? are you currently self employed or an employee?

Its been a very long wait for u. hope this will be over for u soon with positive outcome.

1. Can u please tell that which route did u apply through?
2. Did u have any criminal convictions/driving offences or any irregular immigration history etc?
3. Anything u can think off which may cause this delay to ur application?

probably this might help others to understand why these delays r heppening.

Dear Friends

Finally by the grace of Allah I have receive the brown envelop along with the Ceremony invitation for me and my wife (joint application)

it was a long wait almost 10 months!!!

HSMP tier 1 general
Applied on 19th May 2014
Approval receive on 12th March 2015 dated 8th March 2015
Date of ceremony 17th March 2015.

PS: I would recommend writing to the home office and their complain department, I have had no movement until I did this in first week of Feb although I got the same boring reply like others but it also gives you an option to review the case after a month from their reply of your complain on delay/poor service.

Hi everyone ... I applied 26/May/2014 and still waiting. Got a letter in post a month ago saying that I need to wait another 3-6 months, same letter that many of you have received. I was wondering if we can apply for a travel document while waiting for the citizenship approval?

hi, i am still waiting sice april 16th, i am srilankan one of the countries with war crime list. that is the only thing. i have no convictions my dad applied under hsmp. he got his citizenship in three months. i applied separetely beause i was over 18... still waiting

I am an Indian and mine is straight forward, in my opinion any type enquiry might take up to six months, over six months is just not acceptable.

I think some files are stuck somewhere which are not moving at all, hopefully they might move quick... Best of luck for all...

Yes people waiting longer than u even..I knw few who's waiting from January and February 2014 plus I can see here in this forum few waiting from feb,March and April...as u can see urself there is so many people are waiting who applied during the months of May,June,July and especially August ....nw u can seeds we ur not the only one..I'm myself waiting from early August ..good luck to all of us..

after a very long wait i have received the approved letter today.

Hi guys ! I rang home office today bloke told me its been 11 months u r waiting let me refer u to my senior case worker he ll call u back asap... After an hour senior case worker rang me nd said wats the problem i knw its a bit rude but wen i asked him is that any decision has been made on my application he replied u ll get something in 2 weeks time i dont knw wats in der? Im confused now wat he meant by that...

sounds like ur application is being dealt with and is at final stage of decision being made, hopefully that something will be a decision and not a further delay letter and u will get an aproval in 2 weeks. Keep in mind if HO is gona take 2 weeks then royal mail will take another week to deliver ur brown envelope so may b altogether 3 weeks.

If u r ok in telling then
was ur case straight forward?
Did u have any convictions, PCNs, Points etc?
Which route did u use for ur naturalisation?
Anything u can think of which can cause this long delay?
