Knowledge of Language

Post by sap76484 » Wed Mar 25, 2015 2:50 pm

Dear Experts
I am applying for naturalization using Form AN.
I wish to use the PBS summary as an evidence of KOL and the PBS calculator awards 30 points for my Degree and 10 points for English.
I need to confirm if my original 8 Marksheets covering the full length of my degree (4 years) will suffice along with the above mentioned summary or do I need the Original Degree certificate

If anyone has used semester marksheets as opposed to the final degree certificate and has been successful could you please let me know.

Many Thanks for your time and guidance in advance.

Best Regards
sam

Many Thanks for your response

On this url (https://www.gov.uk/english-language) it says:

If you’ve lost your certificate or you’re waiting for graduation

You must have proof that you’ve passed your degree. This can be either:

an original and official transcript with your name, the name of the institution, your degree and confirmation of the award
an original and official letter from your university confirming it can’t reissue your certificate or when it will be issued

The point in bold seems to suggest that a marksheet could be adequate of it has the mentioned details?

Official transcript is not equal to semester marksheets, Official Transcript is the summary of whole course, grades in each course, mention of degree awarded and institution name, all on one single University Letter Headed paper.

If you dont have that, or degree, I'd go for safer option and do a B1 test.
Being British is a state of mind.
