Because I think it's different between one local authority to another. For me I received the approval letter and it says congratulations etc. etc. and please contact Wandsworth Council at this number xxx to arrange your citizenship ceremony within 21 days of the date of this letter.CLW wrote:I don't understand why some of you guys could book the ceremony yourself rather than waiting for the arrangement from HO.

Now is anyone under the impression that staff processing these applications receive a lot more than the minimum wage? I doubt it. If it takes that long to even reach the top of the pile I guess there are not many of them doing this job.
It goes to show that they take the piss on us who pay a lot and on staff who don't get paid a lot.
