What you would need to demonstrate is that your parent has strong ties with their home country. Apart from the pay slips, anything else such as family ties, business ties, properties or land owned, cash in bank accounts etc.. should be included with the application.
Your parent would need to demonstrate they will return after the visit visa so showing strong ties is a critical part of the application.
Six months bank statements should generally suffice.
