ILR or Right of adobe for UK born child

Post by sivks » Tue Jun 09, 2015 4:14 pm

Hi All,
Me and my wife has got ILR from Jan 2013 , we got ILR from Tier 1 route.
Now we have a baby born after ILR, we are *NOT* planning to apply for British passport for him , as we will loose his Indian passport and currently we are planning to return to India after couple of years.

I have read the forum for similar cases, but still I am confused.

Can we apply for ILR to him ? If yes is it through SET(O) or SET(F)

Or
Do we need apply for "Right of adobe"
if we apply for "Right of adobe" , do the Airlines and foreign Immigration officers recognize this category ( do they have enough knowledge about this ) , any personal experiences will be very useful.

Regards,
Siva

Child is automatically British. Child may apply for a CoE-RoA instead of a British Passport.
