You can either read the rules available on the web or you can go to any post office doing biometric and see how many kids of 12 are queuing up there for the biometrics. Children below the age of 6 are exempted from biometrics because there finger prints are not developed. But still they have to go to post office for picture, and they have to be accompanied by a responsible adult who is being authorised by the home office. You must have filled a colum in the application where you must have mentioned the name of responsible adult going to accompany your child for the biometrics. Please see the link belowUmmMaryfati wrote:Still haven't gottenan ack email though the home office called and said my daughter doesn't need biometrics as she is a baby so...?
Take care

Scroll up in the forum, I answered this a few days ago for someone else: "15 working days"mfs_313 wrote:How many days do they give you on the Biometric letter for giving finger prints?
Also please mention whether they are calendar days or business days.
Thanks,
UKVI does not send another letter to confirm the receipt of biometrics (why add more cost to their process?). Your biometric information will be securely sent to the Home Office by the Post Office electronically, hence the reason you'll have that barcode on your biometric's letter following your doing it at the Post Office.xashax007 wrote:Eligibility criteria: 5 Years + 1 Year PR (EEA National)

Does the HO send an acknowledgement letter for receipt of biometrics?
Good luck everyone!
They give you 15 working days from the date of the letter. The problem is from date of letter until the date you receive the letter is often about one and a half weeks!!! We only had 4 days left before we had to do our biometrics after we received the letter and it caused a LOT of stress - getting urgent time off work, etc. And our nearest biometric post office is nearly an hour from our home address!!!mfs_313 wrote:How many days do they give you on the Biometric letter for giving finger prints?

What information did you have to provide, because whenever I call they just refer me to email or something
How long do they normally take to respond on this email address? I emailed them yesterday about the same issue. My letter was, apparently, also issued on 10th of June.MackP wrote:Hi All,
Even after fees being deducted on 10/06/2015 didn't received any acknowledgement or biometric invitation letter. Emailed NationalityBiometrics@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and was told a letter was sent out to me on 10th June, which I never received so another one was sent out yesterday.
Thanks,
To me they responded within 1 day.mfs_313 wrote:How long do they normally take to respond on this email address? I emailed them yesterday about the same issue. My letter was, apparently, also issued on 10th of June.MackP wrote:Hi All,
