Just noticed some one got approval who applied end of Feb and one approved who applied end of March which is a big jump. But it also means March applications are getting worked on. And no wonder if we hear first April approval in next few days.

I applied directly 16/04/15 and have not received any of my original documents back from HO. Please see my timeline for more info.

I received my originals/passport back together with my request for biometrics letter... I applied from Germany straight to UKVI in Liverpool.

I am claiming citizenship through UKM though, not naturalisation, so not sure if the processing methods are different.

You should be free from immigration control ( that is ILR) for one year as well before you are eligible to apply.
You can apply directly or through ncs. Ncs charges a little fee and they copy your original documents and return the original to you. They also check that your application is valid. There is no difference for the time your application may take, it varies from one moth to one year depends how lucky you are.i hope this answers your question. Best of luck

please dont give ppl info if you are not sure of the requirement .....spouse of BC dont have to wait for one year after ilr to apply for citizenship as long as they been in uk for three years they can apply very next day of getting ilr ....

Wondering if this is correct application form at that time!. I can see a new version may 2015 now.
Was there any modified version in april 2015 that I missed. Please help.

If something was wrong you'd hope that NCS would spot it seeing as that's part of their job however, if you visit:

Thanks R1013X .I submitted the correct version I used 4.Now the version is 5.
Just for everyone there.
PLEASE VERIFY YOUR APPLICATION VERSION ON THE DAY BEFORE YOU SUBMIT.SEE IF THERE IS ANY NEW VERSION UPDATED IN THE SITE.
They say you have 21 days buffer period to use the new version. It should be that way. But always if you can use the new version do it. While preparing the your application Document , keep checking if there is any modifications to the document every 3 days.

In the past few days, there have been approvals for late March applicants - one from March 27 I believe.
So April approvals feel tantalisingly close! But no, no approvals for April applicants on this board yet.

Alas, that has been the case since mid-May. I think someone who applied 27 March got approval on 18 May. Since then, from our point of view there has been no progress whatsoever.

Having said this, I reckon the early April people should expect approvals in the next few weeks as they are obviously getting rid of all the pre-biometric applications before starting on us post-April 6th apps. For the rest of us, it's going to be a long wait. My money is on September/October now for most of us, with maybe a few lucky ones in August.

Yeh very true, I am one of the last ones of non biometric applicants that s before 6April. My application was received by home office on 2nd of April. I saw approvals of late March applicants in the middle of May, and was thinking that I am next but two months have lapsed and seeing only Jan,February, Mar applicants approvals only. Let's see when our turn comes.
