MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (only)

Hi alll,
We received approval for my kids MN1 application, Section 1(3) today, the letter was dated 09/07/15. The application was received by the HO on 30/03/15.

Still waiting for the certificates though.

Hi,

i submitted my child application under section 1(3) on 08/06/15 through NCS

fees deducted on 03/07/15 but still no acknowledgement letter or biometric letter?

i called home office 2 times and both time been advised that it can take upto 8 weeks to receive any letter as there is load of application?

did anyone received any letter around those dates?

i am really worried seeing many people at least are getting acknowledgement once fee deducted?

Hi hapoo

I'm afraid the HO are so erratic in their handling of cases. Whilst others have received their acknowledgement letters sooner in the process, I wouldn't be surprised if your application is completed well before theirs in relation to time scales.

Don't worry too much just yet and take the acceptance of fees as acknowledgement at this point in time.

Page 25 of Guidance Notes says NO fingerprints are required: "Children under the age of six do not need to provide fingerprints, but must have a digital photograph taken of their face."

I think it's reasonable to enquire why you haven't been invited for the digital photograph given the time.

Hi, you would not get a biometric enrolment letter as you applied before 6th April, 2015. The rules changed only for those applying for naturalisation/registration 6th April onwards.

Hi, Yes we have applied for baby (4 months old) on 24th April and we have received letter for biometrics and they took just a photograph. as I heard they have changed rules from April onwards..

Yes correct, my son's 3 years old and they took just the digital photograph at the PO, for under 6 year olds they take only the digital photo. His biometric was done on 17th June and I applied on 15th may via NCS, frustrating wait for such a simple application!

I posted my application on 17/03/15 and received the certificate on 17/07/15. Exactly 4 months it took. I'm sure it won't be too long for yours now.

Just 6 months old baby application and waiting for since 5 months Still no sign from HO I hope before he go university he will get approval

Brother those who apply in March don't need to do finger print or photo taken, also I did applied on 3rd March , but you have to wait 6 month, that's what the home office will tell you. You wasting your time by contacting your MP , coz 6 month is not over yet. Be patient and wait !!!!!!!!! I'm also still waiting already 4 month !!!!!.

If you have applied before 6 April 15 you will not be invited for biometric this rule came after 6 April.

Hi Guys

Got a question one of my sons referee got conviction recently basically Newham council fined him and was dealt in court. I want to find out will this affect on my son application. Anyone knows how long it takes for convictions to appear on credit file. Please help me guys I don't want delays because of this shall I send reference from someone else.

Today around 5pm I received a white large envelope ,when I opened it , was my son BRITISH CERTIFICATE

Confirmation letter received 18/03/15(dated 12/03/15)
Approval Waiting
Certificate received 23/07/15 (dated 20/07/15)

It took 4,5 months.

Now is time to apply for my youngest son.

firstly I m really thankful to immigration board group for helping me and people with there application I got my ILR on 2 march 15
but my wife visa is still on old status which was tier 1 entrepreneur and now I wanted to apply registration for my kids, recently I had a baby girl here in UK and I don't have her biometric card or visa for her or anything except birth certificate,
what document do I have to attached with her application MN1 form please advise
for my sons who is years old I have attached his bio metric card passport and birth certificate do I need anything else apart from mentioned documents
need advise

Hi Amakhtar,

For your son you have sent
Biometric
Passport and birth certificate
Also your biometric

For your baby girl you can send only birth certificate and your biometric card it has to be original. Together with completed application form, fee leaflet and two references.

Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 24/04/2015 Dated: 21/04/2015
Date of receipt of approval: ??
Date of receipt of documents: ??

Little expectant after seeing few responses from the application made in the same period, thanks @ hadi2012, and @limis for the update and big congratulation!!

Update: Have received the certificate yesterday (23/07/2015) issues on the 20/07/2015.
