Hi clacar, I absolutely agree with what you have written above regarding the waiting times. I think it's the Britain's strict policy on immigration. But one thing I struggle to understand and frustrated is that why EU citizens' applications are considered / PRs issued in less than 2 months "normally" but non-EU ones are almost up to 5-6 months, in some cases even longer...non-eu applicants are usually sponsored by their eu family member / spouse - like in my case. And on top of this long waiting timeline there is no fast track or prime "paid" service (or in person application) which is offered in other visa categories - which would have made especially frequent business travellers lifes' a lot easier. Anyway we can't really do anything but just share the ideas with each other here. I hope HO staff read this forum and "get some feedback" on their poor services.clacar wrote:Hi Forza and other people waiting for more than 4 months!,
That really is crazy that you've been waiting for this length of time. Mine was a peculiar wait too.. because EU usually is just a month or two, so yeah there are anomalies.. I see also that Imran.. was waiting for 5 months with application at the beginniing of March, so my theory about having set aside a couple of people may well be true. Anyway, I really hope your wait and of course that of others will soon be over. I should have a look at another forum regarding appeals by EU. Will be interesting to find out about waits 2015. Anyway, I think this is pretty much my last post. I think that getting permament residency should be a lot easier and more efficient. The movement of people who have lived in a country and speak the language should be answered quickly, after all it is also of course an advantage for the UK to be getting new people who have already adapted to the culture. To wait for 5 months to get a residency document is too long and to then have to pay 1000 pounds to become naturalised is ridiculous. In Germany it costs 150 Euros as Eu and without intermediary steps of residence. Best of luck to everyone!
I have been told a secret. In order to get your PR in 2 months. Both you and your EEA partner should apply at the same time for PR. In some cases, it is not possible since EEA partner may be already holding a PR or BC. However, if you have this opportunity, then apply together and you will get it processed in 2 months along with the EEA partner.Forza_RC wrote:Hi clacar, I absolutely agree with what you have written above regarding the waiting times. I got married October 2008 with an Irish National and got my EEA Family permit April 2010. After that applied for EEA Residence for 5 years which is valid until October 2015.
I got seperated from my ex wife August 2012. Now we are in the court for divorce process and my solicitor told me that the case will be finalize in September or October. Obvisouly l will apply for EEA PR on my own right but what can l do if l do not get my decree absolute by that stage and still have to send my application. Can l still go ahead and send it and put a note that decree absolute on its way. Because l do not want to overstay for any reason.
My ex wife refuses to give me her last 5 years employment history. As far as l searched, this is one of the essential thing that you need to provide to the Home Office. Is there any way to get these documents by myself? If l ask them for my ex from HMRC, Is it possible?
I have all documents joints accounts and bills for first 2 years from the moment l came to UK to settle with my ex.
l have been working full time in the same place since Dec 2010.
I have kept all my bills, statements etc.
Is there any documentation list in my circumstances that l need to provide? Please advise that to me!
Could you please advise me on this matter?
Thanks to you all.

Hi Efe, I am sorry to hear about what you have gone through. Do you have any proof or documents on your ex-wife's employment for the first two year (2010-2012)? It's good that you have some joint documents and bills for the first 2 years. Send all your documents with a well written & explanatory cover letter about 3-4 weeks before your residence expires. I doubt HMRC would provide your ex-wife's documents to you as HMRC is pretty strict on this kind of requests. Do you know her NI number?Efe wrote:Hello,

If you have the relevant HMRC details on her employment then that's perfect because if she's unwilling to provide the papers to you then you can explain this in your cover letter and submit the NI number etc. to HO and then they can check and verify her 5 years employment (exercising treaty right period) - that's what they would do anyway even if you provide her 5 year's employment papers, P60s etc. I don't think you would have any issue with that. Good luck Efe and let us know how it goes with your timeline etc.Efe wrote:Thanks for your post. Yes l know all her details, still have all the joints paid bills and statements from even the first application that l entered the country. Someone was lucky to get last 5 years employment history for his ex wife but l wonder where would it leave you? If you say that, l am not with her anymore. l think with a well explained letter, that would solve the problem. Obviously it depends on the case worker too. Why would they still ask for these documents? When they know well enough, you have nothing to do with her anymore but l am glad that l kept all of the documents, l will try my chance to get from HMRC but if not only waiting for decree absolute. If it does not come by September 15. l am gonna go ahead with the application and say that with a proof letter, it is still in the court and waiting for the decree absolute as soon as it arrives l will provide. l hope it works that way. I reckon it will.
Hi Sid, it was me who mentioned if you apply together that your application gets processed quicker. It is the case and can be confirmed from HO also. Secondly, there is nothing called EEA3 or EEA4 any more. It is called EEA (PR) application. Your EEA partner needs to apply and you will have to be tagged along to the application to get it in 2 months flat. Else be prepared for a minimum 4 months wait since arrival of COA. Note it does not matter when you applied. Once your COA is generated, that is when your real timeline starts. On an average, I am observing four months since COA is granted for an answer from HO. Wish you good luck. When did you apply?sidcostas wrote:Hello everyone, i'm so curious if the Home office has already started issuing the new biome trio pr which was introduced o 6 of April. This wait just gets worse every day, I have wasted the whole summer stuck here which i think is so unfair because we work so hard but can't even go on holiday while probably most of the HO staff are on summer holiday. Forza I think everyone on this forum is hoping to hear good news from you, every day im checking the forum but it seems you still haven't heard back, I would like to ask you if you also sent EEA3 for your partner or just EEA4 for you. Someone mentioned in this forum that if we apply for EEA3 and EEA4 together it is more likely to receive it sooner but i really doubt this is the case. I have applied at the end of april and 3 months and half already passed. They have the power to speed it up if they wanted to just like they do with European applications.
Please share hear if anyone knows of any cases when someone received the new biometrics pr card.
Good luck to everyone.
Hello aukro, have not you even received an acknowledgement email from HO yet? 2 months and no letter at all! This is seriously unbelievable. Home Office must urgently improve their service standards.aukro wrote:Hello guys!
I'm waiting for two months for any letter from home office.
I've just called and informed them that I haven't got a biometrics letter. I was given an email something like eurobiometrics@homeoffice.gov.co.uk to contact them for my biometrics letter. Tried to write an email but got reply that this email doesn't exist. Where to get correct address? They work till 17-00 can't contact them till tomorrow.
This is a joke. Did you check if the application fee has been withdrawn from the acc you provided?.the application acknowledgment doesn't always get sent via email if the payment had already been taken . You should have received acknowledgment via email or post by now. It usually get sent out same or next day the payment was TakenForza_RC wrote:Hello aukro, have not you even received an acknowledgement email from HO yet? 2 months and no letter at all! Hello Annebee, I think Home Office have been too busy with transforming the old system to the new biometrics application! I cannot think any other reason at all. One can only expect a better and faster service this year compare to the previous years. However it's even getting worse!Annebee wrote:It's sad that this long wait for non-eea applications is back. This time last year, most non-eea applications were being processed in 4 - 5 weeks . Hiya Forza_RC, I haven't got anything from HO, I have called them about a week ago and been told to wait 8 weeks, today I called them after work and it was 16-50 and been told the wrong email address to contact biometrics office, ridiculous.Forza_RC wrote: Hello aukro, have not you even received an acknowledgement email from HO yet? 2 months and no letter at all!
