i have been quitely following this timeline for long time Never posted my timeline (sorry i have been lazy ) but now that i have received approval i thought i should post it so others who are waiting won't be in distress (like i did).

you better call then and ask what going on, becaue if they sent you biometrics letter and it got lost in the post then they won't know it until you tell them, and will think you ignored the letter.

Hmm that is a long time. My invitation for biometrics was lots in post as well and I only knew this once they sent me another one in which they mentioned that I failed to register biometrics as per letter dated xxx.

As mentioned by other user, do get in touch with them. (various ways has been mentioned by people on this thread).

Language criteria met: Trinity college GESE B1 and Life in the UK
Nationality: South African
Method of application: NCS, Nottingham. 4 applicants (husband, wife, daughter (23), son (19).)
Date of application: 26/05/2015
Payment method: Credit card. (Phoned bank in advance to advise).
Date money gone off account: 10/06/2015 (14 days from date HO received application)
Payment details: (NCS advised to make one payment for all applicants £4,020)
Date of receipt by UKBA: 27/05/2015 (checked with post office tracking number provided by NCS)
Date of acknowledgement: email received by husband and son on 11/06/2015 with acknowledgement.
Date of acknowledgement by POST: received by all 4 applicants on 16/06/2015

Phone call made to book citizenship ceremony, as instructed in my approval letter. Lady told me they will send us a letter of invitation with available dates on and we have to wait for that before booking.

Also, Got 4 approval letters same time for whole family, all address to Mr... so we will all be able to attend ceremony at same time thankfully.

Also, on my approval letter they have put my name incorrectly - used my maiden name as surname, however letter states "If the details on your certificate are incorrect you should still arrange a ceremony, and return the certificate to us for amendment afterwards" Which is frustrating as it would cause a delay before being able to apply for British Passport.

Getting there slowly..... though I am aware that some people have had to wait a lot longer than us

Not sure of the system they use but it does seem that Tier 1 and British spouses are being dealt with now. Had my biometrics done on 4 June and still no decision.

I don't think so, I submitted my biometrics on 16th June and people around me getting their approval. God only knows what is their system, I just wish the whole waiting is over

Ive noticed its about 3-4 months after biometrics when people are getting responses from HO!

What I albo noticed that HO responses/ approvals come in date batches. Have a look at excell spread sheet and it is clear that some days are nearly all approved and others not touched (I know I know on this forum is only small percentage of all applications, but just have a look) just interesting that's all, back to watching the forum and waiting for HO response

Hi ! I've been silently observing the forum and have found it immensely helpful in lifting my spirits up .Applied on 5/05 on the basis of 10+ ILR along with 3 children (all born in UK)
Biometrics was done on 13/07 and a long wait since then...was hoping for a swift approval as husband is already BC (through naturalisation ) but looks like HO works in an unpredictable manner.

Depends on what your approval letter says as it varies from council to council. If it says call your council to book..call your council to book. If it says this is not an invitation letter, please do not call until you receive an invitation letter.....wait till you receive an invitation letter. If you still haven't received an invitation letter after 2 weeks of receiving your approval, you should contact the email address listed on your approval letter as directed.

I was told to wait for an invitation on my approval letter of 9/9, so waiting for that to come through.

The order in which HO is processing May applications is strange.

I applied on 08-05-2015 through NCS Halifax, submitted biometrics on 15-06-15 but haven't heard anything back from HO.

Yet I can see approvals for late May applications.

Really strange.
