Well, it's been almost 4 months now...Does anyone know if it is ok to phone them to find out if all is ok or if they require any additional documents? I am losing hope actually...

I applied on 5th May and still waiting. They won't cater your call until 6 months are up.

Good day everyone. First of all my time line I applied on 13 May. Method: NCS. Acknowledgment: 4th June. Biometrics received and done on 4th June.
The main issue now is that I signed a guarantor for someone and he left without paying his rent and I didn't know. Since I had moved hhouse the lettings agency couldn't get in touch with me and hence took the issue to court and he as well as me being gurantor got slammed with a ccj. I went in June to get a credit card and was denied and then that was how I found out I had a ccj against my name. I have satisfied it and written to the home office explaining that it wasn't my fault.
But my people u know the way it is. I am worried sick if this might affect me as I didn't put it in my initial application and I didn't cos I didn't know it was existing at the time. Thanks. Any advice will be appreciated.

I too wrote to HO notifying them about the change of circumstances and that I was taking care of it. You have done the right thing. I seriously doubt that they will refuse us based on that. As long as we have taken care of it, I don't see why. Let me know how you get on mate.

Update: Approval received today 19th September dated : 9th September.

Hi All,
I have been following this forum and I think it's brilliant.

Please I know I applied in June but please I have a question and I will be happy if I can get as many answers or replies.

I received a letter from HO on the 11.09.2015 (dated 08.09.2015) asking for my old passport to cover the period from June, 2010 to February, 2014 (to demonstrate specifically that I meet the resident requirements for naturalization). Deadline to send it to them was the 30.09.2015.
Passport was sent to HO on the 12.09.2015 (by royal mail special delivery) and received on the 14.09.2015 (royal mail tracking).

What does this mean?
Has anyone received a similar letter?
Will it take long before I get an approval?
Please is there anybody with similar experience who has gotten an approval?

I received access a number of months ago. Unfortunately, it seems sharing settings have changed somewhat. You used to be able to share it with editing rights. You will need to request access. Sorry, I can't be of more help. What I can do is make a copy of the sheet and start a new sharing document if that would help people out?

Hi there

I have also been a longtime observer and my partner and I finally got our approvals through:

Eligibility: 5yrs ancestral visa, 1 yr, 1 month ILTR.
Nationality: Both South African.
Application date (postal): 12 May.
Biometrics: 29 June (we were in the week when it took 6 weeks to receive acknowledgement!!)
Approval: We had a phonecall on 22/9 from HO to say our applications were approved and our documents are on their way. Still awaiting documents.

My partner requested his documents (passport) back about 2 months ago as he needed it. They called us to say they had only just seen his request (???) and the documents were being sent. Which I think is why we had a call in this case.

We did call our local council (Maidstone, Kent) in the meantime for information regarding the ceremony and they informed us the next available date would only be 12 or 26 November and that they normally receive certificates on a Thursday after which a date can be booked. So we will see what happens!
