May 2015 Naturalization Application TIMELINE ONLY

Hi everyone,
I've a question, I've applied on May 5th using NCS but till now I didn't receive an approval letter.
During that time, I've moved to another address and I've used the HO online service to change my address on the application.
I'm not sure how can I verify that my address has been really changed on the application. Is there a way or contact number to get those details?

Did you set up a Royal Mail redirect from your old address to your new address?

That will make sure you continue getting all your post, regardless of whether or not HO have updated your address (which I am sure they have).

Yes I agree, setting up a redirect is a good idea. It's not very expensive and gives you an extra layer of protection.

Just wondering if you received any correspondence from HO at your new address. You've not mentioned an acknowledgment letter for example.

Alternatively, you can try emailing the HO on ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk

I'm not sure they would respond to your query but there is no harm in trying.

Any first week appoval ??

As my application is still 4 weeks short of suggested 6 months processing time ,called the NCS bolton to see if I can "extract"any update on my application.ALL the lady divulged was due to summer hols, the processing time is 4.5 months on average but majority of applications are still processed well within 6 months period.Still she would "try" to chase HO regarding my application status.
It's come to a point where I am hating the sight of every white envelop that drops through my letterbox!

Spoke to NCS Wandsworth today who in turn contacted the HO regarding my application submitted 30/4. HO advised that my application is still being considered and if I have not has a decision by the 6 month mark I will be receiving a letter stating that an extension to the 6 month period is required to look into further details of my application.

No idea what that means, but sounds like there could be a problem?!? Again, no idea what that could be as my application is as straight forward as you like.

Currently feeling very frustrated.

cinola, they said that to everyone and what she said is also on the website.. basically she is advising you to just wait:) We are all on the same boat, feeling frustrated and hating all white envelopes as someone said.. all we could do is wait and everything will be fine. We have waited 4 months, few more weeks to go.. hang on there buddy!

Did you receive the decision by normal post or registered signed-for post?

I missed a letter yesterday which needed signature. I am thinking it might be it. But HO always send things by normal post.

Approval/Refusal letters come from HO and a brown envelope...a5 size or smaller, and come by 2nd class post.

The Home Office will normally expect you to have your ceremony within 11 weeks from the date of receiving your notification. I think you need to book within 21 days from the date on your approval letter, you have 11 weeks (also read 90 days on this forum somewhere) to have to your ceremony conducted.

Actually what they told you is almost the exact wording of the acknowledgement letter. So nothing to worry about.

Phoned NCS and was told that nothing wrong with my application and was told to wait patiently due to the backlog.

How can there be a backlog if even July people get approved ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

Dont lose hope. Many Applicants frm April and March were sent letters from HO for extension of three months processing time and they got their approvals shortly. Looking forward to your positive update of approval soon

I think that's a valid point July even few applicants from August are getting their approval letters.
That will put me in a bit suspicious if black log is affecting May 15 applicants it should affect overall across the board.Once 6 months has past we can contact to local MP to write the letter to OH regarding application.

Be careful what you're saying here. White envelopes are good and remember there are other brown envelopes you don't want to receive - like speeding ticket and HMRC demanding tax etc.

Seven years long journey almost concluded.
Nationality= Pakistani.
Tier 1 G Dependent two applicant ,me & son both dependent while wife is main applicant but she applied on 25th May as she was not in uk 5 years ago
Date of application - 30/04/15
Date received by home office 6/05/15
Date of fee deducted 06/06/15
Date of bio metric 12/06/15
Date of approval received 10/10/15 dated 02/10/15.
What I feel if you think more about it you become more tensed. My advice to every one, who is waiting for their approval, is just relax & do your routine work do not think about it. Home office is working according to their training professionally.
