Hello everyone

Congratulations to all who received their approvals. I applied on the 8th of July and have not heard back yet. It seems that some people who applied after me have already heard back! I am a bit worried because I didn't submit a NARIC certificate with my application. I only posted my original degree (PhD) with my application. I obtained my degree in the UK and thought this would be enough. Was I wrong??? Any help/advice is much appreciated.

Don't worry about that. I did my Masters in UK and posted my original certificate. Got my approval yesterday.
I think NARIC is only required if your degree is from another country.

I think your approval date depends on several things. For example, your case officer's case load and speed of processing applications. Also could depend on the complexity of your case?
And whether you included special delivery envelope. If they are sending it second class, it could be already approved but stuck in the mail.

I don't think so. NARIC does not give certificates for the UK degrees, because their remit is to confirm that foreign degree is equivalent to a British one (so it would be ridiculous to confirm that a UK PhD is equivalent to a UK PhD).

When I was at the NCS, I brought my PBS calculator, but they refused to take it, because they said that a Masters degree from a UK University, which I had, was enough. In any case, if caseworkers had any doublts, it would take them 5 minutes to check if the UK degree is listed in their own PBS calculator.

Seems no 10 years long residence base application decision made yet for july applicant. All are 5 years tier 1 and tier 2 and spuse catagory. Nothing we can do except wait!

Mine was EEA national application, and I remember thinking - why only spouse and Tier ... get approved, but then got mine. Don't worry, your's is also coming

Seems Postal applications are processed faster than NCS applications because HO doesn't want customer's original documents to hold for longer time.

My application seems to be bit slow Applied on 17th July and acknowledgement letter arrived on 31st of july they already had my biomatrics but they still asked me to give by metrics again.
