September 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi all. I am one of those people who just used to come here for updates but never commented. I would like to say a big thank you to all who post here . Your comment saw me through a very testing 10 months of waiting.

Eligibility criteria:10 years in total (new rules patterning to legal residence ? Qualified last year in June )Been here since 1991. Mine has been a story to tell
Method of application: NCS Camden
Date of application: 24th September 2014
Date of receipt by UKBA: 25th September 2014
Date of debit of fees: 26 September 2014 or thereabouts but letter was dated October 4th
Date of approval 02 July 2015
Date of ceremony: 22nd July 2015.

Thanks be to God. I actually wrote an email of complaint on the 22nd of June. My approval was on the 2nd of July and the approval letter is dated July 13th. I am very grateful to the person who suggested making a complaint. I made the email short. In it I stated that yes I realise citizenship is not a privilege but please explain to me what the delay is instead of sending me a generic email you send to everyone. Hope this is helpful to all that are waiting. I did not write to my MP. I must also state that I did call them a couple of times in March but was told to wait cos of the checks. My nationality is Zambian but come Wednesday that will change whoop whoop. Good luck everyone and God bless

We aim to process 95% of applications within 6 months however there are a small percentage of applications that take longer than this to be resolved.

I am unable to give a date by which your application will be resolved, or provide details of the reason(s) why your application has taken over 6 months.

All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquiries, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out. Our service standards set out how quickly we aim to decide applications for British citizenship.

When the decision is made, or if we require further information from you, we will contact you in writing.

IThink i am the only one waiting since September 2014.Next week will be one year.I am tired of waiting ...I wrote to my MP and Home office noting apart from 3-6 month letter.
Any advice pls....

I was waiting since February 2014 and also involved MP and OISC Immigration advisor but unfortunately it is just wasting time and money. The home office is don't care about that. Anyway I hope it will be sorting out soon. insha Allah.

I am still waiting and dont know what to do. I involved my MP,called them few times, sent email three times but nothing apart from 3-6 month letter.
I think I am the only one left here from sept 2014 timeline..
