ILR near passport expiry

Hi,

Can anyone please help on the situation I am facing right now?
I am going to ILR extension(one day service) at mid of February 2016. My passport expires on June 19th 2016. Hardly 4 months validity at time of application. 

Can anyone advise, should I renew my passport before I apply ILR? IS passport should be valid for 6 months at the time of application ? or 4 Months validity is okay to go ahead for ILR one day application? 
If I want to renew the passport which office is quickest to receive the passport back ,is it London or Birmingham? I reside at Coventry, West Midlands.

I am going to ILR extension(one day service) There is no such category as 'ILR Extension'. You are either applying for ILR or applying for a PBS extension.

IS passport should be valid for 6 months at the time of application ? or 4 Months validity is okay to go ahead for ILR one day application?  There is no requirement for a passport to be valid for 6 months to apply for ILR. The requirement is that it must be VALID at the timeof application so you will be fine with 4 month validity.

@CR001: Sorry, yes it is not ILR extension. Going for ILR from Tier 1 General. Thanks for the clarification.
