After taking a hefty amount why home office cannot use first class post? They send my docs in the prepaid envelope. the invitation letter came in slower 2nd class post.
Anyway thanks for every body who gave an idea about the home office process time lines so that I could keep my nerve until this point. 2 and a 1/2 months wait on average I guess for the time being.

Update the lawyer received an email from the home office saying that my application is successful and that i should receive an invitation letter for the ceremony.

I waited for so long that I have an " i believe it when i see it" kind of feeling now.

Are you folks familiar with this email followed by the actual letter. Also they say not to contact the registrer office until the lettre is received as it has regrence number etc.

Could one of the lucky ones that received theirs shed some light on the final steps?
