It's been a full 4 months plus a week, which is way too long. I saw some of the Dec timelines, they are unbelievable: one person applied on Dec 7 and got approved on Jan 2. That's an approval in almost two weeks, never heard of such a thing. I wonder why ours took so long.

Hi All,

Delighted to say that I've received my approval - just to clarify that I applied using form B(OTA) due to holding British Overseas Citizenship, the form is on the basis that you've been in the UK for a minimum of 5 years (been here since 1987). I was born in a British colony and spent many days trying to establish the best way to claim full citizenship (as there are a few options) - happy to advise anyone in a similar situation.

So happy that this journey is coming to an end once I've attended the ceremony, I want to wish everyone here the very best of luck - really enjoyed keeping updated with other September applications.

Are you sure that your approval letter does not have inivitaion written on it ? If it does you dont need to wait for the letter from your council. Just call the council and book the ceremony.

I have been following the forum quite regularly, I am amazed how quick some people have received their approval letter. November's people are pretty much done and some December's ones even. It just does not make sense for me this thing. I get it that Naturalisation is not a right but somehow it is a business. We pay for a service therefore Home Office should at least get back to people with an update after three months. The way this process is conducted is just disrespectful. We should not be treated this way.
