British Citizenship for Baby born in India

Post by livnow » Tue Mar 22, 2016 1:48 pm

Hi ,

Thanks for all the responses to my previous queries - they have been immensely useful.

Here is my condition

My son was born when we had Tier1 visa - He was born in India.

My sons details
------------------------------
Born in india, July 2013
Came to UK - April 2014 on Tier 1 Dependant visa
Got ILR on June 2015 Along with us.

I will be eligible to apply for Naturalization in June 2016 based on the 5 year rule .

I am bit confused about the rules regarding my Son's eligibility for citizenship.

Does my son also become eligible for Citizenship along with me ? Can I apply for my son as well ?? Do I need to register him for MN1 ?

Please let me know.
