Hi everyone

I am filling in the eea pr form and am at section 5. It's asking about when the main applicant (my husband) first entered the UK. His timeline is:

2007 Jan - first enter the uk
2008 July left uk
2009 feb return to the uk
2009 july left uk
2010 june entered the uk
present still here, no other long leaves.

Now I don't know what to fill in 2007, which is the real date he first entered or 2010 , which is the start of the qualifying period? What do you think?

And also if anyone can point me to the sorter version of the form that would be great. Thank you

I have sent mine a month earlier but still waiting.

Thank you ohara, as you said it is obvious, but then there is no other question regarding the qualifying period. How can I point what period I'm relying on? It could be the papers that I'm sending but with the papers the year is obvious but not the starting month?

Not really salmintin, the only difference is that I have a period of six months on the beginning when I was in the UK I wasn't EU citizen, but I haven't included that period in my application anyway.
We have organised the documents for my partner a little bit better by year and labelled with sticky notes so this might have sped up her application.
I think it is based on pure luck who is going to be reviewing the application and how quick they are.

Hi, just a quick question. When you asked for your passports back, did you have in the letter that came with it a line saying "do not send your documents back to the home office unless requested"? I have that line in my letter and I'm a bit confused.

I needed my passport in order to get my new born baby a passport so she can travel with her mum in May. This is done now and I want to send my passports back to the HO so my application can carry on. Because of that line in the letter I guess I don't have to send it back but do guys have any idea why? Would this mean my application will be on hold or something for not having my passport with them?

I sent a mix of things really since I was a student from 2009 - 2012, did work placements for a year and was then employed 2013 - present.

- So for the time i was a student I provided a letter from the university confirming I attended the course,
- for the work placements I sent letters from the agencies I worked at (since I didn't get paid for them so didn't have any payslips) + printouts of emails conversations with recruiters and interview confirmations.
- and for current employment I sent P60s for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 + my most recent payslip

Also, since I was exempt from needing the comprehensive sickness insurance I had to print out and add this to my application:

Transitional arrangements are being introduced, so that an application
for permanent residence as a student will not be refused solely on the
grounds that there is no evidence of comprehensive sickness insurance
on the date of decision where:
 UKBA issued a registration certificate to the applicant on the basis of
their residence in the UK as a student before 20th June 2011.

Thanks for you reply Ohara. Could that be the reason why when I asked my passport back they said in the letter "do not return your documents to the HO unless requested"?

I applied on Jan 16, had my COA feb and did the biometrics the same month. Haven't heard anything else from them other than the letter they sent with my passport in April.

I have sent for each of my job letter from employer and bank statements. I also submitted all payslips for the last 3 years and 4 months.

I have done it the 24 of Feb, it's 61 days today. Average looks 60-70 days. I hope I get it soon

As far as I know for yourself you have to wait for 12months which is until 17/04/2017, However for your child u can apply for his/her passport as u have just got your PR!

As far as I know , in order to apply for neutralisation you need to hold PR for the last 12 months. It doesn't matter the date shown on the PR. Its my case as we'll. For e.g I should have acquired PR in Dec 2010 but I didn't apply till one month ago for the PR. Once I receive it I can apply for neutralisation in Dec 2016 , even though the date on the PR will be most probably June 2016 or even later.

Correct me if I am wrong, please!
