What is the difference? I understand that first you get the citizenship and then the passport.
If so when can I apply?

thanks!
You've really got to do some of the heavy lifting yourself.

Many thanks, understood.

If anyone is interested the home office has taken the money out of my card today. So it looks like that the old EAA3 form has been accepted. I will keep posting updates.

That's good to hear. Please let us know when you receive your PR card :)

In the mean time, start having a look at Form AN and its guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... en-form-an

Congratulations.
(And yes, the latest form is not compulsory - we don't just make this stuff up  ).

Yes - I wonder if I have to wait one year or not - in my application for PR I have used the period 2008 --> 2013.

many thanks!

If they have recorded your date of PR as you think it should be in 2013, then you don't need to wait a year.

Unfortunately the only ways to find out what date they have are to either submit a subject access request (SAR) to UKVI (£10 and probably a 2 month wait) or book an NCS appointment to submit your citizenship application and they can find out while you are there (but you risk losing the NCS fee if UKVI have cocked it up).

Thank you. I can take the risk of loosing the NCS fee. So to confirm I can use any location for the NCS service (e.g. my local council) and I would know if I can submit or I have to wait for a year?

I would now anyway need to get study / pass the life in UK test...

Many thanks!

It's not mandatory to use the EEA(PR) form (or any form in fact), and the above linked EEA3 form is much simpler and shorter.

Sorry for being a pain, but do we have evidence that applications have been accepted using the old form? Because in that case I should fulfill my requirements, see my previous post http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... l#p1380874.

Yes, you just answered your own question.

However you still need rock-solid supporting evidence even if 'going commando' with earlier form.
Or by being hardcore and applying by letter.

HO is bipolar and plays hardball;
fulfill requirements and get confirmed.
To be found wanting is to be refused.

Er... How?

I was asking if we know for sure that applications using the old form have been accepted.

Read again what you quoted from member Bamboccio.

Other success stories are buried in the PR 'timeline' thread.
I leave searching those as an exercise for the interested reader.
