I was on initial process until july 2016, in August i got letter that i have moved to 2nd stage after that i did not hear from them till today.

You were on EuFam ? and did you GNIB recently got Expired ?
They are looking to all cases now For EUFam many are getting second stage letter and i hope we all be part of next ceremony in April 2017 which is after almost over 5 months but what can we do ! it seems there are only 2 to 3 ceremonies in a year compare to 2015 or before they suppose to be every couple of months.

you application in second stage now..
u may not receive any second letter but further processing team they deal with mostly even approval..
initial team and further team two diff team..
when any ones app in second stage its first step with further process team..

i got second letter was issued by initial team..but i did send some updated the acknowledge came from further processing team...

this is still initial processing brother.
they are not just finding the missing information then they will process to advance stage.
Advance stage is Garda and revenue check.

so they are not processing all EU spouse based applications. we will should get 2nd stage letter in Jan

Garda checks is second stage
Advance stage is when ur application is complete and ready to be sent off for a decision or already sent for a decision and just waiting for the application to get bk.

Yes my case is on the base of EuFam, My GNIB card was expired in July 2016. I got my 10 years stamp4 in August, I sent them visa copy as soon as i got one from local immigration office but did not send copy of updated GNIB.

I got second stage letter in August from Neil, after August i did not hear from them until today. Good thing is that at least they checked my file, at least my file is moving now. I hope they will sort out EuFam cases for next ceremony there are many ppl waiting.

To me i strongly believe they will send approval soon to ur door..
if a person has updated visa and currently working and of course with a clean record what else they need?

I heard that Eufam's Nationality Application won't gonna b process up untill you get your recent EU visa stamp 4 or 4eufm visa from Department of justice not temporary 6 month stamp4 ... ..
So i have 6 month temporary stamp4 n if they issue me a visa so my nationality applications will go for finally stage .n if they refuse my stamp4 so Nationality application will rejected..

Can someone tell me is that true information??

If your visa is expired while ur application in process they will ask for update of ur visa..
Once u have ur visa up and running u shud be fine

So 6 month temporary visa is na good enough?? N my 2nd question tha i applied for visa on my on behalf this time .is tha b a problem??

look if u applied for citizenship they will ask if ur visa is expired..
as long as u can give them update shud be fine..
i guess u did apply for self right retention..
when ur visa gonna expire?
whts ur time time..?

i dont think you will have any issue for citizenship application

I applied for citizenship Dec 2015 . Stmp4euf expired June 2016 .
Got 6 month temporary stmp 4 in September 2016 to Mar 2017 .

Does any one have an idea when will INIS start rolling the next batch of approvals as we know by now that the next ceremony will be held on 21of April 2017 and I think its so far so I'm just wondering how INIS works?thanks.

no second stage letter

I had 3 traffic offences paid on time nct and wrong U turn.
went to court once and strikeout straightaway on unpaid motor tax.
didn't mention anything in application form section 11.1 and 11.2,
I email dept today they reply this..


Please note as per our previous response the position remains as advised. lodged an application for a certificate of Naturalisation with the Citizenship Division of this Department on the 4th May 2016.

This application is currently being processed with a view to establishing whether the applicant meets the statutory conditions for the granting of naturalisation and will be submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible. In general, it takes approximately 6 months for a straightforward application to be processed from the date it is received to the date a decision is made.

However the nature of the naturalisation process is such that for a broad range of reasons some cases will take longer than others to process. It is a statutory requirement that, inter alia, applicants for naturalisation be of good character. In some instances that can be established relatively quickly and in other cases completing the necessary checks can take a considerable period of time. As a result there will always be a proportion of cases that take longer than the norm to process.

On my second stage letter it was clearly stated that "Your application has now been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing. Your case will be submitted to the Minister for decision as soon as our enquiries are complete and all required documentation has been compiled."

As per your letter or email, it didn't say anywhere that it was proceeded to the second stage of processing whereas it stated "Please note as per our previous response the position remains as advised" which probably means it is still on the same stage as advised by them previously.

So, what did they advise you before sending above correspondence?

I explained in my post NO SECOND STAGE LETTER!
I ask department by first email about my application status.
Dept reply....
Your application continues to be processed. While it is not possible to
give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision

In both email dept never mentioned ANY STAGE.

I'm just wondering my application is still on initial stage??

sorry i did not read carefully. Yes your application is still on initial stage. it is not second stage letter. you must wait 1 more months to see where its going then contact INIS again.
