Child Registration application from USA

Post by rcon » Mon Apr 16, 2018 5:42 pm

I did not find full answer navigating this forum, but only partial replies, so posting this here.

Is my UK born son (2011) is eligible for registration as British. At the time of his birth, none of parents were settled, father got settled in Oct 2014 . We have been in USA since mid-2015. I just started a job in UK, in the middle of transition at this stage. I have never been away for more than few months, that could have invalidated my ILR. However, my family is still in USA. Is it wise to apply for my sons registration now or instead apply for visa. My new employer will cover cost of visa/or registration.

My daughter born in USA (citizen) last year, is she eligible for either registration or naturalization?

thanks a lot.
you guys rock.

You do not have access to the privilege of the Pm function as a newly registered member.

All the questions you have asked have been fully answered in your previous username topic. Nothing has changed since then.

UK born child no issues.

USA born child will only be able to get a visa in line with the other parent. No shortcut route for the child.
