Altogether it took 8 working days for correspondence via post (I think only because I escalated. Otherwise it could have taken longer). I never received any emails.

(On 22nd October submitted standard service application as there was no option for super priority at that time of the day . Next day when I got to know that super priority service becomes only available after midnight (trick) then I varied application to super priority. So I paid twice and now will write to HO for refund of first application. I will update here when I hear back, for the benefit of other applicants )
