Can my wife travel

Post by khanan » Wed Oct 16, 2019 1:47 pm

Dear Respected Members of Board Especially Zimba, Mac and CR001,

I am a silent member of this forum. Could your please answer my following queries:

1) I switched my visa from tier1 entreprenuer to ILR last month. My wife came to UK in November 2016 as my dependant. She is still on the tier1 entreprenuer dependant visa. Can she travel outside united kingdom on her visa?

2) My baby is born in UK in 2017 (and he is my dependant) Can I directly apply for his pasport? or do I have to apply for citizenship first. Can you post any links how can I apply for his citizenship/passport?

Thank you and regards

1) Yes
2) Register him as a BC via MN1. Only then you can apply for a BP.

Respected @Cullian @Zimba @Mac @CR001,

Thank you for your reply.

I have applied for my son naturalisation/ citizenship on 28 October 2019
and waiting for home office decision please can someone give the timelines
how long the home office takes to make a decision and if I can reach out to
home office to get an status update. Please see my queries below:

1. Is there any timelines. Can I contact home office to get an status
update. Please if you can provide any contact details

2. I am planning to travel to France on 22nd December and I if I don’t get
a reply from home office can he travel on his previous visa. I didn’t
switch his visa so he and my wife are still on my previous visa (i.e. tier
1 entrepreneur visa and it’s valid until 20 th September 2019)

A prompt reply would be appreciated

Thanks.

You started the topic asking about your wife.

Now you are asking about your son's citizenship application. Please ask MN1 questions in the British citizenship sub forum as the questions are not relevant to the ilr sub forum!!
i.e. tier 1 entrepreneur visa and it’s valid until 20 th September 2019)
??
Char (CR001 not Casa)
