New Job Days Before Visa Expiry

Post by SG_22 » Fri Oct 25, 2019 10:59 am

Hi,

My wife's FLR(M) expires on 1st November 2019, and we have already submitted our application for ILR Set(M).

She is currently not working, but is due to start a part-time Christmas job on 28th October.

I'm just wondering if anyone can see a specific problem with this?
I understand that the current visa terms are extended until our ILR decision is made, but I didn't know if there would be any issues (from a Home Office point of view) with it being so close to the Visa expiry date.

If this will jeopardise the ILR in any way, then we're happy for her to just not take the job.

To clarify - for the ILR application, my wife relies upon my own job to meet the financial requirement / sponsorship for visa purposes.

You are overthinking this. It is not an issue.
