ILR Query

Post by tyroasood2007 » Sat Nov 16, 2019 8:17 pm

Hi,

I have completed 5 years as tier 2 general migrant in the UK and passed the Life in the UK Test ,will be applying for ILR but have following queries -

1) My wife (tier2 general partner) has completed only 4.5 years but can we apply together in one application in which I'm main applicant and she is dependent.

2) Is she required to clear the life in the UK Test as dependent of main applicant for this case ?

3) Is there any criteria of absences for this case as main applicants dependent ?

Regards!

You need to meet the English B1 requirement as well. LIUK on its own is not sufficient.

What date was her initial visa issue date?
2) Is she required to clear the life in the UK Test as dependent of main applicant for this case ?
ALL applicants for ILR must meet the LIUK and English B1 requirement, There are very few exceptions, which don't apply in your circumstances based on what you posted.
3) Is there any criteria of absences for this case as main applicants dependent ?
Depends if her last visa was issued on or after 11 January 2018. For you as the main visa holder, yes you have a limit of no more than 180 days absence in any 12 month rolling period.
